Crews move in and crush asphalt
Construction of Dundas Place officially started on Tuesday, April 10, 2018.
This week was all about health and safety. We fenced off the construction zone and started moving equipment on site.
Crews quickly began grinding up asphalt. This technique helps keep the dust down until we begin underground work, and makes it easy to remove once we're ready to start digging.
Another fun fact? The concrete curb between Talbot and Richmond is gone for good. That's right, this is the last time you will see a curb on this stretch of Dundas, our future flexible street!
Curb removals will continue next week.
Below is a short clip of John Shapton, Site Superintendent, live from the construction site on Friday afternoon.
