Out with the old, in with the temporary.

This week, construction was starting to really ramp up; however it might have been a little harder to see due to the screen we installed on the construction fence. The screen is there to help prevent any small, flying construction debris from entering the sidewalk.

My personal highlight of the week would be the removal of the iconic LTC signal sign board in front of McDonald's. It's hard to believe there will really never be another bus on Dundas!

Things change every day in the construction world so remember to check Renew London for the latest information related to timing of road closures or channeled lanes as a result of the project such as the work going on at Richmond Street.

Below is a brief work summary for the week of Apr 16 and Apr 23.

Work this week:

Ridout to Talbot:

  • Protection screening on construction fence

  • London Hydro continues with their duct work

Talbot to Richmond:

  • Protection screening on construction fence

  • Temporary watermain

  • Temporary hydro pole installation

  • Bell utility work

  • Temporary mid-block sidewalk installation

Work anticipated next week:

Ridout to Talbot:

  • London Hydro duct work

  • Temporary watermain

Talbot to Richmond:

  • Construction fencing from Richmond Street to London Music Hall for upcoming closure.

  • Temporary watermain

  • Temporary hydro pole installation

  • Bell utility work

Below are some additional photos showing the London Hydro duct work going on at the court house, removed LTC electronic sign board and freshly poured concrete sidewalk for mid-block access by Fanshawe College.
