Concrete work and a community festival

Concrete work has started on Dundas Place! This week, the crew was busy installing new planters and fresh sidewalks near Ridout Street, at the court house.

The picture below shows an example of a new concrete planter. The crew will continue installing planters and sidewalks in the coming weeks.

With the hydro work finished between Talbot and Richmond, the temporary above-ground hydro lines can now be removed, making room for the next phase of work.

Since the majority of the underground work is complete, you can expect to see Dundas Place really start to take shape over the next few weeks. Keep an eye out for some major changes, especially between Ridout and Talbot!

Dundas Place Arts Festival

While we work, the community has been planning an event to bring the Dundas Place experience to life. Starting Saturday at 9:00 a.m., they'll be closing down the block between Wellington and Clarence to host the first-ever Dundas Place Arts Festival from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Local businesses are getting flexible for this festival offering a variety of entertainment, tours, pop-up shops and more! Whether you want to come out and learn how to salsa dance, participate in a scavenger hunt or find opportunities to create your own art - there's something for everyone on Dundas. To see the full agenda for the festival, visit the Dundas Place Arts Festival Facebook page.

While you're out, don't forget to tag us (@DundasPlace) on social media! We'd love to see what you're up to at the festival.
