After a 7-week closure at Richmond and Dundas, Richmond Street has been reopened to north and southbound vehicle traffic. One lane in each direction. The contractor still has some concrete work to do on the edge of the roadway, but the intersection will remain open.
We're almost done!
All of the brick work on the roadway is done. You may have noticed the contractor painting lines for vehicle traffic. We're in the final stretch, so you'll see more and more of these final touches going in next week, as weather permits.
What to Expect
Next week, there will be a lot more construction activity going on throughout the site as our crews prepare for the reopening of Dundas, from Ridout to just east of Richmond. The contractor is aiming to complete all of the sidewalk brick work by the end of next week, so be sure to pay extra attention if you're walking through Dundas Place. Keep an eye out for construction equipment and do not hop over or duck under the yellow construction tape, it's there to keep you and your family safe.
