Signs that the season's end is near

One week has made a huge difference on Dundas Place. All of the hard surface for Phase 1 is complete! We have also reopened sidewalks at the Richmond intersection.

Sidewalks and Signs

This week, the crew finished all of the concrete and brick laying work on the sidewalks, also known as the "pedestrian zone", and began street sign installation throughout the site.

East of Richmond

Dundas Street east of Richmond still looks like a normal street. Asphalt was placed as a temporary measure and will be replaced with bricks next year. This was always the plan in order to reduce the amount of disruption on Richmond Street in 2019.

Volunteer in the New Year

In the words of our Dundas Place Manager, "you can't get anything done in our community without each other." We're looking to build a team of volunteers who are flexible, outgoing and ready for a challenge. Do you like participating in events, talking to people and building community? If so, visit dundasplace.ca/opportunities to sign up to be a volunteer today!

While 90% of the work will be finished by Christmas, we can't officially say 100% until the finishing touches are put in place next spring. Stay tuned for details related to the reopening of the street to cyclists and motorists from Richmond to Ridout next week!

Below is a summary of Dundas Place construction for the week of December 10 and next steps for the week ahead.
