Dundas Place is Ready for the Holidays!

And it has reopened! Not only can one drive down Richmond Street utilizing all four lanes, but now you can drive down Dundas Place from Ridout Street to Richmond Street in both directions.

What's Changed?

The pedestrian zone (sidewalk) is twice the size it was before:

Traditional parking meters were replaced with the Honk App:

A total of 14 new bike corrals were installed from Ridout to Richmond:

New Pedestrian Crossover located mid-block at Fanshawe College:

What's Next?

Come January, there will be intermittent work throughout Dundas Street from Ridout to Wellington. The work will be isolated, not requiring any full closures, so you'll still be able to drive, walk and cycle through the area.

The Temporary Stuff

You will notice big red insulated boxes along Dundas Place. These planters and the trees within them are temporary, to get us through the winter. New trees will be planted at the majority of these locations in the spring of 2019.

Until Next Year

Downtown Jim and your Dundas Place Project Manager, Jonny Ngai, will be off for the holidays and returning in mid-January when touch-up work resumes. Any non-urgent inquiries will be responded to when we get back. We appreciate your continued patience during the construction of this important infrastructure project.
