The pre-construction hustle & upcoming events

We're back! While the City prepares for the JUNO Awards, the contractor is not missing a beat in getting things rolling on Dundas Place Phase 2 construction. Don't worry, Dundas Street will remain open - this is just preparatory work - but you can expect some minor interruptions which will include detours, with signs to direct traffic around the small work sites and equipment for the next little while. In a few instances short-term closures of sidewalks, parking bays, or vehicle lanes may occur. Once JUNO week starts, all construction will be suspended.

Pre-construction Activities

This week, the crew removed some of the unhealthy trees, installed temporary hydro poles and conducted basement investigations for service connections.

Crews also did some utility prep work in front of various buildings on Dundas, between Richmond and Wellington.

As always, we'll keep you posted on our progress and pedestrian disruptions using Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. We appreciate everyone's patience as we get used to the new flex street format.

Upcoming Events:

Dundas Discs: March 13 to 15

During JUNO Week, the London Music Office will be connecting London Engineers & Producers with emerging musicians for the chance to record a demo version of a new song. Want to participate? Submit your music for consideration.

Fanshawe Live: March 15

Fanshawe College will partner with Dundas Place to host a celebration of Canadian music, food and fun on Friday, March 15 from noon to 6 p.m., coinciding with JUNO week (March 11 to 17). This free, family-friendly celebration will include live performances by Fanshawe Music Industry Arts students and graduates; feature JUNO inspired culinary dishes at The Chef’s Table, the College’s hands-on teaching restaurant; and delight attendees with games, giveaways and more.
