Traffic now flowing (and trees growing!) on Dundas Place

Perhaps the best news of the week is that, as of Friday evening, Dundas Place between Ridout Street and Richmond Street has been re-opened to vehicles. Londoners will notice newly planted trees and some new street furniture in this area.

More trees and new planters are coming soon, so there's still lots of landscaping elements to look forward to! Finishing touches like this will continue on the first half of the flex street throughout the construction season.

Overnight Work on Sunday

On Sunday (June 2), overnight construction work will occur in order for crews to install fire suppression services, in other words, to complete fire protection connection work. This operation is critical and takes as much as five times longer than regular water service work. As a result, the construction zone will be a little brighter, and noisier, during these overnight hours.

A Visit from CBC

On Tuesday, our neighbours at CBC joined our crew onsite to learn what it's like to operate an excavator. You can listen to the live interview online where excavator operator Chris Watters and site superintendent John Shapton talk about underground work, what's been underway and how they deal with doing major construction in a downtown environment.

And now, a few reminders from our Dundas Place Manager and our friends at Downtown London:
