A few tips to get around construction, while the concrete hardens

Work on the Market Lane transformation is substantially complete! On Friday afternoon, crews were finishing up concrete work so it can harden for a few days before we start laying bricks.

And while we wait for more concrete to harden on Dundas, the crew resumed work on trench drain installations towards Clarence Street.

We were also able to re-open the mid-block crossing on the newly poured concrete roadway between Richmond Street and Clarence Street.

And in the Dundas Place construction zone towards Wellington Street, crews are installing last of the new hydro duct work.

Getting Around After Labour Day

Crews have been working hard to accelerate construction downtown, recognizing the impact construction has on your commute and in your daily lives. We know our roads are going to get busier after the Labour Day long weekend, so our transportation team has put together some tips to help you:

  • Leave earlier to account for the increase in traffic volumes in September.

  • Download the Waze navigation app for the most accurate local road closure information.

  • Use realtime.londontransit.ca or Google Maps for specific LTC route information.

  • Share the core area map below with your friends and family to help make everyone's commute a little easier next week.
